BurgerShop and Mindful will open Nov. 12 at The Market in the WVU Health Sciences Center.
BurgerShop offers menu items that are fresh and made-to-order, including turkey burgers, grilled chicken breast or black bean burgers. BurgerShop also offers breakfast items. BurgerShop will be open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Mindful offers menu items that promote clean eating and emphasize how making small changes can have a big impact on your health. All meals are 600 calories or fewer. A weekly menu rotation will include salad, hot entrees, soups and more. Mindful will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Council for Women's Concerns is accepting nominations for the Mary Catherine Buswell Award. This accolade, established in 1978, honors a person who has shown a dedication to the advancement of women. The award winner will receive $500 for travel, supplies, salary supplement or any other use commensurate with WVU policies. Nominations must be submitted by March 1.
The annual Holiday Celebration for WVU Medicine and Health Sciences employees will kick off on Thurs., Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Market, located on the ground floor of the Health Sciences Center. The Market will close at 11:30 a.m. for the celebration.
All Health Sciences faculty members are requested to review a proposed Board of Governors Rule currently in a 30-day comment period: WVU Governance Rule 1.4 on Ethics, Conflict of Interest, and Outside Consulting. The review period for the proposed rule closes on December 12.
