Preclinical Tumor Models



The Preclinical Tumor Models core facility  (PTMCF)  at  West  Virginia  University  Cancer  Institute, is a central resource for development, production and maintenance of state-of-the-art, human tumor models, including but not limited to genetically engineered mouse models and patient-derived tumor xenografts (PDX) in mice representing a variety of human cancers. Operating out of the OLAR animal facility in the WVU Health Sciences Center, the PTMCF provides these services to the WVU research community on a fee-for-service basis. Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art, human tumor models and expertise to further advance the research and developmental therapeutic capabilities of WV researchers and clinicians and find a cure for cancer.
